OK! The time has arrived, folks. If you have not already begun using Twitter, get ready! This assignment will get you connected.
Submission instructions are included below.
Complete These 4 Steps
If you do not already have a Twitter account, go to twitter.com and sign up. Add a photo of you or one that represents something about you. Be sure to also write a brief bio that reflects your interests and personality. Keep in mind, you can edit this as often as you wish so don't spend too much time on it now.
Send a Tweet that includes the hashtag for our class #EDUC661OL. I will be searching for these Tweets and replying to them and you will do the same. To retrieve all the Tweets containing our hashtag, go to Twitter.com and type #EDUC661OL into the search box at the top. Then click on "Latest" to see all Tweets.
Your next step is to follow 20 teachers on Twitter! Remember, this is your PLN so you want to follow people who are contributing content and ideas that will add value to your teaching. Here are some ideas to help you:
Check out who has joined Twitter from our class (by doing a search for our hashtag) and follow your peers -- and me too @brocansky. We are all in this together!
I also encourage you to look at the list of finalists for the Edublogs 2015 Best Individual Tweeter Award. These are outstanding teacher contributors who were nominated by their peers.
Download the Twitter mobile app onto your smartphone. You will get out of Twitter what you put into Twitter. Having it on your phone is a simple way to stay connected with your PLN.
